On September 9, 2011, Regional Director of the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific designated the Collaborating Centre for the WHO-FIC in Japan (hereafter referred to as the “Collaborating Centre”) for a four-year term. On September 9, 2015, Regional Director of the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific redesignated the Collaborating Centre for a second term. The redesignation assigns the role of the head of the Collaborating Centre (hereafter referred to as the “Head of the Collaborating Centre”) to the Head of International Classification and Information Management Office attached to the Counsellor for Planning and Coordination attached to the Director-General for Statistics and Information Policy of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The second term will be from September 9, 2015 to September 8, 2019. These regulations set down the basic policies and other matters related to the Collaborating Centre.
